Family Easter

Somehow we have been creative when it comes to making our own Christmas traditions but Easter is a little more difficult. We did do some new things this year but realy we don't do much for Easter. Next year we will start doing a Passover dinner. Here are the girls coloring their eggs.
Every year grandma buys the girls a complete spring outfit for the girls for Easter. This is the dress for this year. They also got knitted shalls to go with the dresses and new shoes and purse. I can't believe they are just about the same size. They are a different shape so as they are getting older it is not so easy to hand down cloths to Zeph.
We have started a tradition with the youth kids. Each year we do a midnight Easter egg hunt. We halve always lived next to or had a field to hide eggs in and there are camouflage eggs for prizes. They come out for pizza and movies and when it is dark enough we all go outside and the sport begins. I try to tell them it is not a contact sport and to show the love of Christ but somehow adrenalin prevails. Here is them sitting nicely watching a movie before hand. Here is a few out searching for eggs. They don't really care about the chocolate filled ones. Everyone is looking for the camo eggs that will mean they get a prize and they all know it means the latest Christian CD's.

This is after over an hour searching in the field. They gave up and came in to unload their eggs and see who got prizes. (I had 16 prize eggs and only 11 were found. Some went back out to look but Alas after a month they are still hidden). Of course when you have over a dozen teens in a small apartment and hundreds of plastic eggs a fight is bound to break out and that is exactly what happened. You can see the eggs in mid flight here.
Yes that is scott cowarding behind the fluffy pink pillow. (actually it was a good idea. When you have plastic eggs thrown at you at mac force they sting a bit.)
