A few more

Zephys class performed a poem in the assembly this week called mud. As you can see they dressed up for the occasion. Sheradia won an award for most improved in her class. And here are the girls painting by numbers.

First Bike Ride of the year

On the weekend we went down the road for the first bike ride of the season. The kids had a blast even if Scooter and I were puffing behind.

bathroom gets started

The last couple of weekends we have been working on finishing the master bathroom. It will be a long project. Here is scooter setting up in the garage. Then the bathroom view from the doorway. All painted with lights installed and tub framed in. Then scooter helping me put the tile down. Next stage is plumbing the tub in and starting the tiling for the shower.

Fundraiser Photos

Theses are a few shots from a fundraiser photo shoot we did with the girls on the weekend. I love this one of them together. Half of the money went to friends of ours whose baby has been over in the seattle hospital for almost a month with liver and heart troubles.

A drinking problem

We had sparkling apple cider with dinner the other night. While Zephy and I don't like it Sheradia thought it was good to the last drop!

Crazy socks

It was crazy sock day at School the other day. Zephy wore her toe socks that her sister bought for her on her birthday but sheradia had nothing. I had an idea of taking a pair of tights that had holes in it to make something. So I cut felt flowers and fastened them with buttons then added dots with fabric paint. I thought they were crazy. Sheradia loved them and when she got to School all her friends wanted to know where she got them because they liked them and wanted a pair. I had intended to just throw them away after she wore them but sheradia wouldn't let me she wants to ware them all the time. In fact she wants me to make more stuff for her. I've created a monster now!

Talking to NZ

We were talking to Scooters brother Corey the other week with speakerphone and as much as the girls wanted to stay up and listen they both fell asleep on the couch.

around the house

While in Libby Nana bought the girls a horse. it rolls on wheels as you sit up and down on the saddle and even makes noises. The girls were never off it. We brought it home and they ride around the house on the hardwood floors.

Then there are the girls after school doing their homework together. One good thing about them being apart all day. By the time they get home to have a snack and get their homework done they are so kind to each other and want to work together on their homework. (well zephy wants to read to Ray and Ray wants to correct zephy's math). Its a sweet moment in the day.

Then they get to do chores and play. By then they are ready to fight again. Here they are playing Lincoln Logs building a custom log house for their client Polly Pocket with a pet shop next door. Dad would be proud!

First Time Roller Skating

We went down to Libby to visit Grandparents and went roller skating. Its been a long time (like 20 years) for Scooter and I. The kids had a blast and 1 hour was a serious workout for Scott and I. Not only trying to stay on our feet but having someone hang on to you and tripping up all around you. Perfect core body workout not that I was really looking for one! By the end of the time Sheradia was doing not bad on her own. She seemed very confident and was loving the Independence. They have begged to go again. We went again in Kalispell the following weekend. The kids went on there own a lot more then. Zephy looks like a cartoon where her feet start to go out from under her but she struggles to keep in under control as they fly faster and faster out from under her arms flailing till she Finlay falls on her bottom. She loves the speed though.
