Windows

The big excitement right now is putting in windows and exterior doors. Scott and I put in 9 windows this weekend and the others will have to wait for stronger help as they are too heavy or to far up. you can see one behind this cute couple. The kids roasting marshmallows at break and sheradia taking a bite out of dad's sandwich.

Our House.

It seems a while since I have posted anything on our place. We (being Scott) has spent a lot of weekends finishing up things that needed to be done before plumbers and electricians came. And not very exciting. The roof is nearly finished just waiting on the ridge cap and we got the deck down. I am so thankful not to be staining anymore of that. Now I am on to staining stacks and stacks of soffit. but at least the deck is behind us for now.

Mctavish House

A couple months ago I posted photos of the house that Scott had just finished building on the lake. They have now finished most of the outside work and landscaping so I took some photos so you can see it from the outside. The back view of the house of course. Then the yard down to the lake. The outhouse thing is a outdoor hot shower and the side looking at the screened in porch area and then Scott getting back to work on the 4 car garage they our finishing with apartment above. More photos on that latter.

Scott on kids 4 wheeler

Kids will be kids! As soon as we got the kids back to Eureka Scott insisted that the DVD we rented needed to be taken back so he buzzed down the steep hill to return it and back up again. I managed to catch this as he came in the driveway. He said it went right up the hill no problems which is surprising. I am testing this new video option out. Lets see how it does.

Paradise Valley

I got up early one morning and went down the road a ways from camp as I had seen a moose there in the river a couple days earlier and was hoping to get a photo of him as the steam was rising from the water early in the morning. I waited and drove up and down a few time but took these photos instead of the valley just past where I was looking for the moose.

The girls with nana and Papa at yellowstone on a boardwalk over the thermal ground. They are seeing how hot the water is. This bull elk as resting by a river with cow elk close by.

More photos. There is the grand Tetons and a zoom up of the bull moose in the lake. Then the heard of Bison (buffalo) with Dad so you can see how close were were and one that looks ready to charge.

We did a day trip into Grand Tetons and Yellowstone National Parks. Corey and Shells you would have remembered these views.

There were 4 grizzly bears we got to stop and watch. They were digging for roots in the ground. It is a mother and 3 of her cubs. 2 girls and a boy. If you click on the photo it should get bigger to be able to see them better. Then there is Old Faithful.

the luge

We went into Jackson and mom, I and the girls when on the luge. Sheradia was so scared the first time as she had to go by herself but she was a little speedster and by the second time was bragging to Zeph that she got to go alone! I had a great video of her on it but I can't seem to load it on this program.

Reunion #2

The reunion was planned around fishing as always and so that is what all the brothers did the most. Zephy being my little tomboy wanted to go with them. and begged and begged until they Finely let her. The first night she caught the most fish and brought home the only one they could keep. She was very proud of that fact. The next morning when she awoke early to find that papa was already gone she got dressed and ready so fast and out the door I had to go looking for her. There she was by the truck and boat begging to go with them again. Papa said "No, I think you should go with the other women and go to town and go shopping" but zeph argued "Shopping and looking at stuff is boring! I want to go fishing with you papa" Of course dad had no comeback for that comment so off they went.

The last photo is of the last night there when Zephy got to eat her fish at the fish fry.

Family Reunion

My fathers side had a reunion this last week which the kids and I tagged along. They got to go to School for a day then we left for a week. It was down next to Jackson Wyoming. I love that area. I told Scott last year when we drove through that I could live there! The first photos is in the town park in Jackson. They have 5 of these elk antler arches. Then is them with a stuffed bison and the girls in the porch swing back at camp. Then is Sheradia feeding one of her cousins. She spent the whole time just babysitting this boy and loving it!
