Saturday

Scott and Travis (student youth leader) worked all morning on the house while the kids and I were holding a garage sale (we did make about $120 but not as well as we usualy do). I am saving for new furniture. I ususly use the money for new cloths for the family but thanks to Mom they girls got a ton on new stuff for the fall back to school season.

Anyway. Travis left at noon leaving Scott on his own a few hours then JR and the girls and I arrived around 3pm. I cut two stacks of boards for framing and did clean up work before the girls were ready to come home to dinner and bed. Scott and JR worked till 7:30.

You can see in the first photo the garage floor and the wall in front of it is for our master bath, 1/2 bath, mud room. The window that is papered is the dinning window.

The second photo is of the main front door and the large gable wall they put up yesterday morning with the crain.

The last photo is of Scott framing up the breakfast room door that will go out to the deck and JR fixing a mistake Scott made on my window seat. (still only one big mistake so far is darn good! )

building

Scott and one of our youth kids worked yesterday to get the largest wall put up. The goal for the day was to build it and use the crain to put it up. They probably would have been able to do it if they were not caught out in the rain so much. Zeph and I stayed half the day with them just cleaning up and that sort of thing. We left when it started raining too hard. They got the wall built and put it up this morning with the crain. The first photo is of scott and lester working. The next is of zeph having morning tea by the fire. Then of Scott showing Zeph the crain before we left and taking Lester for a ride up in the sky.

Zephy just graduated from head start after 2 years. Here are some photos from that day. and her playing latter in the playground at the school. Here is what the teacher said about her as she got her certificate. "Zephy is a delightful young girl who exhibits many leadership skills in class. She makes a great teacher's helper, who can work independently as a guide to the younger students. Zephy's sparkling personality always shines through when she tells us one of her marvelous stories! Zephy dreams of becoming a cowgirl when she grows up. "

youth trip

WE just took a youth trip to Kelowna British Columbia Canada this weekend for 4 days. We had an amazing experience. I can't even find words to put it to. Most of what I took of the weekend was video footage but here are just a few photos. The first is of all of us except me. I was taking this. The guy on the sasquach head is Kole he is actually a youth leader from a different church but we all hang out a lot together and he sometimes comes to our youth group or bible studies and things. All the others are from our group. All are our student leaders (one was missing due to work) It was great that was the way it worked out. We have never taken just leaders on something like this and I believe it was for a reason.
The next photo is of a bunch of kids on stage getting healing, One of our leaders was up there praying for people and as he went around just touching them they would fall down in the spirit. There were flag dancers worshiping and I love this photo as the flag motion looks like an angel. (which is another story but there was a man who just walked in on this night and two of our leaders say they think he was an angel. we never say him before or after this night at the conference but we all remember him)
The last photo is a better picture of the room. Kids where on their faces before God. Some just laying there soaking in Gods presence. Others praying or getting prayer. What an amazing time. It looked like a battlefield and indeed it was!

taking photos

Forgot to mention but the last couple of the house had to be taken within 10 feet of the car. I just went to see Scott at work and take he and the guys some scones for morning tea and then I was going to go take photos of the propery and what they did last weekend. Well they tell me that on our road yesterday a mother grizzley and three cubs were spotted and she mocked charged a car. They also told me to be very carefull of going up to the property alone. I didn't think to much of it and dove slow all the way up as I wanted to see her. It wasn't untill I was getting out of the car I realised that if she was willing to charge a car she must be pretty agressive. So needless to say I stayed close with the car running and the door open as for a quick escape. I never did see her.

house update #4

This is my on my window seat I have begged Scott for! I have always wanted a window seat to sit and read in and he put one in for me as a special sort of gift!

This is the walls Scott and one of the youth kids put on on the weekend. That is our bedroom door (glass sliders) and the breakfast room window.

Here you can see the stair opening and in the other one the walkout basement. That is the second living down there or the rumpus room with the french doors and two windows you can see. I was not going to put so much glass in a room that was going to be for a pool table, fooseball, and other contact sports but Scott insisted and I am so glad as the view from down there is great as well.

sleepover

Sheradia had a sleepover party with a few girls. We did crafts (decorating hats and pillowcases with fabric paint) and lots of games and movies.

an early birthday

Last weekend we went to Kalispell to let Sheradia pick out her bike for her birthday. She loves her new bike! We also met mom and dad for lunch and they gave her their gift. An ice cream maker in a ball. You add the ingedients, put the ice and salt around the outside then toss, roll, or whatever the ball around untill the ice cream in the middle is done. Zephy got a gift too. A snowcone (or flavored ice) machine that makes slushies too.
