The same day the birds came home scott found this guy on the road and decided to bring him home. He had to take him back to the lake when he wouldn't stay in the container we had for him and our dog got too intersted.

Cutting worms

Scooter brought home a nest of 3 baby birds that had been abandoned for a couple days. The girls had to cut of the worms to feed them.

You've Got to be Kidding!

No seriously! I finished a project! backed, quilted and even binding on it! This was a baby quilt I made for my niece who is expecting in a few months. don't look too close at the quilting as it is my first one I have done myself that hasn't been a simple stitch in the ditch. The top was made with soft flannel and the back is polar fleece.

a lake house for a while

Friends of ours were on vacation and asked us to use their beach everyday and make sure everything was okay at the house. They left their paddle boat out and the girls became expert sailors of that. here was my view (book, blanket, and girls playing) for a few days. very relaxing.

Scooter took these photos to put on our house for sale website. You can see the grass is finally growing and the stairs we put in to the side. I love the other photo of our driveway and the green grass beyond. It has been dirt for so long it is just a nice sight.

Blast off

Sheradia had to run the height o'meter thing. Scooter was there to help the kids. Then the little dot in the sky is their rocket.

Rockets are cool

For their last school project Sheradias class had to make rockets (it was very detailed and intense). Here is Sheradia with one of her team mates. The team getting ready to launch (talking with the teacher) and everyone waiting in anticipation.

Next to the campground was this emu farm. The girls had a blast feeding them dandilions and I tried to give them a drink of water to wash it all down.

The last day we went to Cranbrook to the train museum and toured old restored trains. very interesting.

Fort Steele

On the camping trip we spent most of a day at forst steele. A historical Fort where they still dress up and act like it was 1850's.

we went camping for the weekend with my folks up to Canada. It is what Sheradia wanted to do for her brithday instead of a party with her friends. We just had to wait for the weather to warm up

First day with the boat out on the lake. The water was cold but it didn't stop the girls from getting wet. They found a pet toad in the garden. It had one eye and they had fun with it for a while till I decapitated it with the lawnmower. there were frog legs all over the grass after that!
