and we go fish'in

While Malc took the oars Scott had some time to kick back and fish. And wouldn't ya know it he caught 7 fish. Poor little mouths were hardly big enough to swallow the hook but still! He never catches fish. So it was a big deal of course. When we pulled out we had dinner at Polebridge and got more from the yummy bakery.

Float

We stopped on the bank for a wonderful lunch. Malc had a turn at the oars and found a new hobby to pursue.

Day 3

day 3 with Malc and Shoanna we floated the North Fork of the Flathead River. Even the dog came with us. In her own raft of course.

Silverwood

After the waterpark closed we had had enough time to take in the ice show and a few more rides. Malc and Shoanna had so much fun putting quarters in the water guns and getting unexected daydreamers right in the ear or full on in the face. No mercy ah?

Waterpark

When it got good and hot we went over to the waterpark to cool down. Lots of waterslides, lazy river and the wave pool.

silverwood

The excitement started with timber Terrors. I'm sure all us adults thought we were going to die. Then came the corkscrew. I was the only smart one that stayed off of that.

Nanma and Grandad arrive!

Scotts folks from New Zealand came here for a short visit. We picked them up at the Spokane airport and after a little shopping and long rest and big breakfast the next morning we took them to Cabellas for an experience. then on to Silverwood which the girls were oh so excited for!

another pet

The girls found another turtle along the road. This one was smaller and they named him speedo. Speedo lived with us for a few weeks in a box with water in Sheradias room. Before nanma and Grandad came for a visit they set him free by the river.

parting shots

The three cousins and a sweet one of my brother and I before they left.

Fireworks

Wanted to show Cameron how to make a sparkler bomb but forgot the tape. So lit off some others anyway. He also liked the girls BB gun. And the three cousins lined up at the breakfast bar eatting.

Back in Montana we spent a day floating the North Fork of the Flathead River ending in Polebridge. It was wonderful and oh so relaxing!

Parade

Another Liberty Lake tradition is the small town parade. Mostly decorated bikes and golf carts but the synchronized swimming team always brings so many laughs. And the candy is good too.

4th of July in Spokane

A round of Golf is a tradition. Sheradia took these photos. Scooter and my nefews Justin (the birthday boy) and Brandon.

They can fly!

We came home after a trip to town and a couple of the birds were not in their nest. They were walking around the house. It was cute to try and watch them walk as they tumbled over their wings trying to gain ballance.

Turtle

The same day the birds came home scott found this guy on the road and decided to bring him home. He had to take him back to the lake when he wouldn't stay in the container we had for him and our dog got too intersted.

You've Got to be Kidding!

No seriously! I finished a project! backed, quilted and even binding on it! This was a baby quilt I made for my niece who is expecting in a few months. don't look too close at the quilting as it is my first one I have done myself that hasn't been a simple stitch in the ditch. The top was made with soft flannel and the back is polar fleece.

a lake house for a while

Friends of ours were on vacation and asked us to use their beach everyday and make sure everything was okay at the house. They left their paddle boat out and the girls became expert sailors of that. here was my view (book, blanket, and girls playing) for a few days. very relaxing.

house

Scooter took these photos to put on our house for sale website. You can see the grass is finally growing and the stairs we put in to the side. I love the other photo of our driveway and the green grass beyond. It has been dirt for so long it is just a nice sight.
