Scott started new location

I went out to see Scott on the job. i just needed to get out of the house and wanted to go for a drive. They built a lodge for this guy about 3 years ago and now are back on the property to build a guest cabin and a large barn that will have a spa resort, industrial kitchen, and motor bike shop in it then they will build an indoor riffle range next year. The drive was spectacular and the spot for this guest house is pretty nice too!

Sidding

WE have started staining sidding this weekend. We got half of it done with one coast on back and two on front all ready to be put up. Scott also did the outside of the front door. Then we screwed down most of the deck. The deck took 2,000 screws and scott and I put in 1500 this weekend. My arms and wrists are very sore. I still have to go back in a couple days and do about 100 more and it will be done. The other photos is one I took early in the morning on the way to work on the house. I just loved this scene.

Here is a better picture of the door and how it looks from the front. We are still waiting for the ridgecap for the roof but other than that is is finished. that and Scott and I still need to continue to t&g soffit but we have to wait for the electricians first. There will not be much to report this next weekend as it is all framing out stuff ready for electricians and insulation and sheetrock.

Putting in the front door.

They guys put in the front door at the very end. It was so heavy they had to rest every few feet and you can see in the video it kind of got away on them and landed a bit in the sealant that was on the opening. I am realy pleased with it though. It is a Beautiful door!

This weekend house

Scott had corey help him get the rest of the doors and windows in. Then he did some framing in the basement that needs to be done for the electricians this week. The girls had fun

playing and I maintained the 6 fires we had going. It felt good to burn off those big brush piles and get the area around them cleaned up. Now we only have about 10 more to go. You can see all the t&g soffit Scott put up last weekend on this side of the house. Looks great!

And the house lit up at night. This is what we want ours to look like as

well.

This is the master bathroom with luxury shower unit. (Lets just say you could buy a decent car for that.)

This is the loft area which is her studio. It also has lots of storage and a bathroom up there. Then there is the photos of the quarts all lit up. It is white and gray in the daytime and when the light shines through at tnight it is a nice orange/red color. It

showes up hot pink in the photos becuase of my camera. It is beautiful in real life.

THis is the great room again and a close up of those cabinets. That is slate inserts. Granit countertops with Quarts backsplashes which have lights behind them. More photos of that next. Then there is the entry way and a guest bathroom. The owner is a well known artist so all the paintings you see in these photos are

hers. Mom and I are currently taking art leasons from her.

This is the other fishpond Zephy is standing next to. She is always drawn to water and the fish made it even more interesting. Then there is the fireplace in the great room. Looking into the kitchen and the girls sitting at a table with a view.

This is the backside of the house looking out to the valley and the stairs from inside. They are the open tred inspiration for the stairs in our house. And the loft from below and the dinning room.

Mumms house

This is the last house Scott and the crew built. It is one that Scott has designed for the client as well. Also one he nearly lost his arm building or could have died. Thank God he had other plans for Scooter. WE went for dinner the other night and was able to take photos. This is some of the out side.

Soffit and Deck

Mom and I stained soffit boards (T&G) last week and this weekend Scott put it a ton of it up. Here is him starting on one side of the house.

And He finished laying the deck timbers so this is the little breakfast deck just off the breakfast/kitchen area. This will be so nice and shadded in the evenings.

SYATP

See you at the pole was this last wednesday morning. An international date set for kids around the world to come an hour before school and pray for their school, friends, and community. Here are a few shots from ours.

Going away party

A few weeks ago we had a going away party for a couple of our youth kids who have gone off for ministry training. Merissa made a wonderful cake and they all got loaded up on sugar as you can see. By the way Lester and JR and Travis if you are reading this we miss you and are praying for you.
