Deck Logs

Two weekends ago my parents logged and hauled timbers we are going to use for the deck up to Eureka. The trip that usualy takes one hour took them 2 and half hours. They could only go 35 mph as the load was about 7 tons. That is the same as 8 car bodies on the back of that trailer. The logs where so green the sap was just weeping out of them. Dad had to stop a few times to let the tires cool as they were getting too hot and got one flat he had to change. We had lunch and then took them up to the log yard where Scott and Dad unloaded them and a couple onto the mill so it would be ready to mill. Then Scott took one day last week and milled them all and got them up to the property.

Looks like a lot of work. How did the timber look after milling? Has it got good grain look??
