I made the first of many flower spots and cleared all the dead branches and limbed up the trees as far as I could. I worked for 2 hours and still only got this much done.

I love the secret garden idea. When I lived up at Grasmere Station (high country sheep station to you americanites), I use to have a hill that I'd climb and sit up there and see the whole Cass Valley. Peace and quiet. Have you read the Patricia St John books Ray?

No I have never heard of her! I will have to check my library for that. I am always looking for new reads.
